Which variants this covers
Two quite different cars share this page. The RX-7 runs from the FC of the late 1980s to the FD3S built to 2002; the RX-8 SE3P follows from 2003. Both are rear-wheel drive with independent suspension at both ends, which is why coilover coverage is deep, but they share no parts with each other. Confirm which car and which generation before ordering — FC and FD3S listings in particular are easy to confuse.
Choosing between the ranges
Bilstein B6 is the largest single group and the firmer Bilstein damper at standard ride height — the straightforward choice for a car whose original damping is worn but which you want to keep at standard height. Note that Bilstein B4 is not stocked for these cars, so B6 is the Bilstein option. Tein EnduraPro covers OE height from the Tein side, with EnduraPro Plus adding 16 adjustable levels. S.Tech springs lower the car on its original dampers. For adjustable ride height, Street Basis Z is the entry coilover, Street Advance Z the step up and Flex Z the full-length kit, with Mono Sport and Mono Racing for track use.
What to check before ordering
Front and rear are separate parts; fit in axle pairs and align afterwards, with corner balancing if you fit coilovers. The caveat on these cars is age and condition: an FC or FD3S is now old enough that bushes, mounts and strut tops are usually as worn as the dampers, and fitting new dampers to perished mounts wastes the work. Inspect the surrounding hardware before ordering.
