Bilstein B6 Performance shock absorber for the Subaru Forester 4 (SJ) — Bilstein Shock Absorber 22-278500.

Specifications

• Type: Gas Pressure
• Series: B6 Performance

Performance

B6 is the uprated damper for a car kept at standard ride height. Bilstein firms up the valving over the OE curve, so body roll settles sooner, the nose dives less under braking and the car tracks straighter at speed. You feel more of the road surface than with B4, which is the point — it is a handling upgrade, not a comfort one, and it needs no springs to work.

Fitment

Fits Subaru Forester 4 (SJ), from 11/2012, AWD — see the full list below. Verify fitment using the vehicle compatibility checker above. OEM References: 20310 SG000, 20310 SG001, 20310 SG011, 20310 SG020.

What's Included

One Bilstein B6 damper unit — a single shock absorber, not a pair and not an axle set. Order two to do an axle, four for the whole car. Bump stops, dust covers, top mounts and fixings are not included.

Warranty

Backed by Bilstein's manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Cover assumes correct installation, the correct tightening torques, and serviceable bump stops and dust covers. A damper run without its protection parts will be scored by road grit — that is wear, not a defect.
