Bilstein B6 Performance shock absorber for the Mercedes-Benz SL (R231) — Bilstein Shock Absorber 26-237145.
Specifications
- Type: Gas Pressure
- Series: B6 Performance
Performance
B6 is the uprated damper for a car kept at standard ride height. Bilstein firms up the valving over the OE curve, so body roll settles sooner, the nose dives less under braking and the car tracks straighter at speed. You feel more of the road surface than with B4, which is the point — it is a handling upgrade, not a comfort one, and it needs no springs to work.
Fitment
Fits Mercedes-Benz SL (R231), 12/2011–04/2020, RWD — see the full list below. Verify fitment using the vehicle compatibility checker above. OEM References: 231 326 05 00, 231 326 06 00, A 231 326 05 00, A 231 326 06 00.
What's Included
One Bilstein B6 damper unit — a single shock absorber, not a pair and not an axle set. Order two to do an axle, four for the whole car. Bump stops, dust covers, top mounts and fixings are not included.
Warranty
Backed by Bilstein's manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Cover assumes correct installation, the correct tightening torques, and serviceable bump stops and dust covers. A damper run without its protection parts will be scored by road grit — that is wear, not a defect. As an official reseller in the EU, Suspengo also handles your statutory conformity rights on this purchase — contact us first and we deal with the manufacturer.
