The TEIN 4x4 Damper Sport at a glance

A heavy-duty damper for cross-country 4WD vehicles, giving roughly 40mm of lift at a fixed ride height. Built for load, corrugations and rough surface abuse rather than lap times, while keeping the vehicle stable and predictable on tarmac. The range outlier — its strength is terrain, not circuits.

Performance

4x4 Damper Sport is Tein's monotube damper for four-wheel-drive pickups and SUVs. Firmer valving than the factory part controls the body movement that load, towing and rough surfaces provoke, and the monotube design copes better with sustained heat off-road. Ride height stays standard — this is about control under load, not lift.

Fitment

Fits Suzuki Jimny (JB64W), from 07/2018, AWD — see the full list below. Verify fitment using the vehicle compatibility checker above.

What's Included

One complete Tein 4x4 Damper Sport kit — four units, front and rear, for the whole vehicle. Springs, top mounts and fixings are not included unless the specification table lists them.

Warranty

Backed by Tein's manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Cover assumes the kit is fitted complete and as supplied. Mixing these parts with dampers or springs from another set puts the load outside what the kit was tuned for and is not covered. As an official reseller in the EU, Suspengo also handles your statutory conformity rights on this purchase — contact us first and we deal with the manufacturer.

Notes

Additional device, such as mirror or camera, is required to secure the front vision, in order to comply with japan's vehicle safety regulations on forward/lateral field visions. Replacement of brake hose (with 50mm+ longer one than oe) and locking hub vacuum hose is required. Replacement of caster-corrections bushings and lateral rod is recommended. Not ride height adjustable. Ft: when tightening, be sure to apply the appropriate torque as specified in the included manual. Over-torquing might lead to piston rod damage/breakage. Rr: right and left springs differ. Be sure to install on the correct side.
